Wives of working citizens and the children of working female citizens in the private sector will not included in the 2% annual Emiratisation ratio, according to Nafis.
Nafis explained that the inclusion of children of female citizens and wives of male citizens in the new updates to Nafis programme is in line with the directives of the wise leadership, which is keen to establish a comprehensive approach to empowering families and enhancing social and economic stability. Each category will receive financial support from the programme amounting to Dhs3,000 per month for those who meet the conditions for receiving support, says Nafis.
Regarding the reduction of support allocated to the salaries of citizens working in the private sector to redirect it to new categories, such as wives of male citizens and children of female citizens, Nafis stated that the updates are not based on the principle of reducing support for one category in favour of another, but rather come within the framework of developing the programme’s system and expanding the scope of its social and economic impact to keep pace with developments and community needs.
It is worth noting that the programmes and support mechanisms have been updated according to a comprehensive study that takes into account achieving a balance between the sustainability of the programme, enhancing job stability, and expanding the umbrella of benefit for the included categories.
