His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, announced the construction of a new road extending from Al Arouba Square to Al Nahda Bridge.
“A new road called ‘Al Noor Road’ will be built, extending from Al Arouba Square to Al Nahda Bridge via a suspension bridge that will pass by six new mosques,” Sheikh Sultan told the Direct Line programme.
“Al Khan Lagoon Island will be a masterpiece, featuring restaurants, shops and a theatre. The road leading to it will be an underwater tunnel ending in the largest parking lot in Sharjah City,” he added.
