Sheikh Mohammed renames council to focus on AI-driven gov…

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, directed the amendment of the name “Ministerial Development Council” to “Ministerial Council for Artificial Intelligence and Development,” chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court.

The council’s key responsibilities include supporting the implementation of the transformation towards self-executing and self-driving artificial intelligence systems and models in government work, enhancing the efficiency of implementing government policies, legislation, strategies, programmes, projects, and services by utilising artificial intelligence, and studying policies, legislation, and strategies submitted by ministries and federal entities and submitting recommendations to the Cabinet.
