His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, expressed his happiness at fulfilling the dream of two children who visited the “Pearl of the Gulf,” Dubai, after a video of one of them crying while wishing to visit the city went viral.
Sheikh Hamdan shared on his account on X a video of a child crying and asking his mother to take him to Dubai, saying: “Mom, I want to go to Dubai… I want to go to Dubai now. Dubai is very wonderful.” The child also added: “I heard that Dubai is another planet,” to which his mother responded, “Did you hear that Dubai is another planet?”
The video also showed joyful scenes of the two children after arriving in the emirate with their family, where they appeared delighted and amazed as they explored Dubai’s unique tourist and entertainment attractions. The moment further reinforced Dubai’s position as a city that not only inspires awe but also turns dreams into reality and welcomes the world with open arms.
Sheikh Hamdan wrote on his X account: “I am happy to see the joy of Dubai’s young friends, Milan and Christopher from Kenya. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Dubai and explored its destinations and landmarks, and that you carry with you the most beautiful memories from this trip.”
In early May, a video of Kenyan mother Maria Nyambane appeared online showing her tearful son expressing his strong desire to travel to Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan shared the clip on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “It will make me very happy to see you in Dubai, hopefully very soon.”
In the video, Maria gently comforts her sobbing son, saying, “I don’t know how to make that jet, but I will work so, so, so hard to earn money to take you to Dubai. Is that okay? Now, can you breathe?”
Christopher’s parents and brother pose for a photograph in Dubai.
She reassures him again: “Yes, I’ll get money and we’ll go to Dubai. I will work hard and take you there. Is that okay? First, breathe. I know you have big feelings, and I know you’re sad you’re not going to Dubai right now.”
The boy replies, “I need to go to Dubai right now… Dubai is good.”
The heart-touching conversation highlights the popularity of Dubai among children from different parts of the world.
The sports-enthusiastic Crown Prince is also an avid lover of nature and animals. His videos and photos regularly garner thousands of likes and comments on social media platforms. He has over 17.3 million followers on Instagram.
Hamdan’s Instagram bio reads: “Every picture has a story, and every story has a moment that I’d love to share with you. Thanks and enjoy.”
