Sharjah Police, represented by the General Department of Criminal Security and Ports, managed to recover a lost bag belonging to an Arab resident after he had lost it inside a taxi while travelling.
The bag contained all his savings accumulated over five years of work and residence in the country at a time when he was preparing to travel to his country.
Following intensive investigations and using the surveillance camera system, the taxi’s route was tracked and the bag could be recovered in record time.
Expressing his deep gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made by Sharjah Police, the owner of the bag stated that the bag did not include just personal belongings or a sum of money, but rather included the fruit of years of work and a means to achieve his family’s ambitions and goals after his return to his homeland.
This incident highlighted the importance of modern technological systems and surveillance cameras in supporting security efforts and contributing to the return of lost items to their owners, thus enhancing the sense of security and reassurance among members of the society, visitors and residents alike.
