Brigadier Yousef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority (CDA), and Brigadier Saeed Obaid Rashid Al Suwaidi, Director of the CDA, honoured three men in appreciation of their humanitarian stances and active contributions in dealing with a number of fire incidents, as part of the CDA’s keenness to consolidate the culture of social responsibility and encourage positive behaviours that contribute to protecting lives and property.
The honorees included Jaber Dawood Suleiman from Sharjah City Municipality, and Rahim Marwan and Adel Ali Shawal from Al Marwan Contracting Company, in appreciation of their positive cooperation and immediate initiative during incidents, as their conscious actions and quick response contributed to supporting the efforts of civil defence teams and limiting the repercussions of incidents.
Brigadier Al Shamsi affirmed that the CDA is keen to honour positive role models who embody the values of cooperation, responsibility, and community awareness, noting that quick action, reporting, and cooperation with the competent authorities are essential elements in enhancing the efficiency of incident response, as community awareness constitutes an important pillar in supporting the public safety system.
Brigadier Al Shamsi explained that the CDA continues to implement its awareness programmes aimed at raising the level of community preparedness and consolidating the concepts of safety and prevention among various segments of society.
He stressed that positive cooperation with civil defence teams is one of the important factors in quickly controlling incidents and reducing their effects.
Brigadier Saeed Obaid Rashid Al Suwaidi praised the humanitarian stances of the honorees, stressing that conscious individual initiatives directly contribute to enhancing community safety.
