
As part of its ongoing efforts to combat organized crime and pursue internationally wanted individuals, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, Dubai Police General Command announced the arrest of “D.J.K.,” an Irish national and member of a gang involved in international criminal activities in his home country. The arrest followed the receipt of a case file from Irish authorities detailing the crimes attributed to him and his role within the criminal organization.
The arrest came after the Dubai Public Prosecution issued an arrest warrant based on the case file received from Irish authorities, in order to initiate legal procedures for his extradition.
Dubai Police explained that they successfully apprehended the aforementioned individual just 48 hours after the Public Prosecution issued an order on April 15th. The arrest followed a meticulous search, investigation, and surveillance operation that lasted no more than two days, demonstrating the advanced capabilities and high efficiency of the security services in Dubai and the UAE.
Dubai Police affirmed their ongoing commitment to supporting international efforts in combating transnational crime and working alongside law enforcement agencies worldwide to enhance security and safety in communities. This is achieved through strengthening partnerships with these agencies and continuing to exchange information effectively to help reduce the spread of organized and transnational crime around the world.
