Abu Dhabi ranked eighth among world’s most welcoming cities

Abu Dhabi ranked eighth among the world’s most welcoming cities, with 55.3% of reviews praising the quality of service and good treatment across various tourism sectors, according to a recent global classification based on travellers’ experiences worldwide.

According to a study conducted by “Mooney Supermarket,” a company specialising in business insurance, over 100,000 tourist reviews in 107 global cities were analysed, including restaurants, cafes, tourist attractions, and recreational activities, to measure service quality and visitor satisfaction.

The study relied on reviewing between 30 and 50 locations in each city, analysing about a thousand reviews for each destination, to monitor indicators of visitor interaction and the quality of service provided.

The results showed Edinburgh, Scotland, topping the list with 59%, followed by Hanoi, Vietnam, with 58.6%, then Liverpool, UK, with 58.3%, while Paris came in fourth with 57.5%.

Dublin ranked fifth with 57.3%, followed by Montreal in sixth with 56.8%, then Vienna in seventh with 55.6%, before Abu Dhabi came in eighth globally, ahead of cities like Birmingham and Bristol.

This ranking reflects Abu Dhabi’s growing status as a global tourist destination which combines quality services and developed infrastructure, in addition to generally enhancing the visitor experience.
