UAE shooting star Fatima Al Shibli passes away after batt…

The UAE shooting community is mourning the loss of national team athlete Fatima Mohammed Ali Mubarak Al Shibli, who passed away after a battle with illness.

Fatima was one of the country’s leading trap shooters and won the silver medal at the 2021 Arab Shooting Championship in Egypt, a performance that established her among the UAE’s top shooting talents.

Her passing has deeply saddened the UAE shooting fraternity. The national team’s training sessions were suspended as teammates, coaches and officials gathered to pay their final respects. She was laid to rest in Al Ain on Thursday.

Fatima’s final international appearance came at the 4th Gulf Games, held at the Lusail Shooting Range in Doha, Qatar, in May.

She is remembered for her dedication to the sport and her contributions to UAE shooting, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by the country’s sporting community.
