admin The Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) today announced Mazzraty as the Title Sponsor of the Doha Meeting of the Wanda Diamond League 2026 following a sponsorship signing ceremony held on Thursday at the Pullman Doha West Bay Hotel.
The Mazzraty Doha Meeting, the seventh stop of the 2026 Wanda Diamond League season, will take place on Friday, 19 June, at Qatar Sports Club. The meeting is expected to feature a stellar line-up of Olympic and world champions across a range of disciplines and follows the success of last year’s edition, which witnessed four world-leading performances, six national records and a meeting record-equalling result.
The agreement marks a significant partnership between one of Qatar’s leading national companies and one of the world’s most prestigious athletics events. The sponsorship reflects Mazzraty’s commitment to supporting sport and healthy lifestyles while reinforcing the Doha Meeting’s position as a premier destination on the global athletics calendar.

Among the headline events will be the men’s javelin competition, featuring former Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra of India, reigning world champion Keshorn Walcott, world leader Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage of Sri Lanka and a host of other international stars. Olympic 400m champion Marileidy Paulino will also begin her 2026 Diamond League campaign in Doha, while Olympic champion Soufiane El Bakkali returns to contest the men’s 3000m steeplechase and reigning world champion Cordell Tinch headlines the men’s 110m hurdles.
Qatar’s own Mutaz Essa Barshim will once again be among the major attractions of the meeting as the former Olympic champion and multiple world champion competes before his home crowd in the men’s high jump. Barshim’s participation is expected to provide one of the most memorable moments of the evening, inspiring a new generation of athletes and further strengthening the event’s connection with local fans.
The Doha Meeting forms part of the 15-event Wanda Diamond League series, which spans four continents and concludes with the season final in Brussels on 4-5 September.
