Huge participation marks conclusion of Fujairah Combined …

The Fujairah Combined Fencing Championship concluded on Sunday, organized by the UAE Fencing Federation over three days at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, in cooperation with the Fujairah Martial Arts Club. The event saw a record participation of 382 male and female athletes representing 12 clubs and academies from across the country.

The championship featured strong competition across various weapons and age categories, marking the conclusion of the local fencing sports season. Events were held in the Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, Under-17, Under-20, and senior categories.

The winners were crowned by Sheikh Engineer Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the UAE Fencing Federation, in the presence of Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club; Mohammed Ghanem Al Mansoori, Vice Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors; and other board members.

Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi affirmed that the championship achieved its technical and organizational objectives and served as an important opportunity to assess players’ levels and identify promising talent. He praised the fruitful cooperation with the Fujairah Martial Arts Club and its role in the success of the event.

He added that the wide participation and strong turnout reflect the continuous development of fencing in the UAE, as well as the joint efforts between the federation, clubs, and academies to expand the base of practitioners and raise the technical level of athletes, supporting preparations for upcoming regional and international competitions.
