EBBF launches weekly community running initiative in Dubai

Dubai: The Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (EBBF) has announced the launch of “Galaxy Run Club UAE,” a new weekly community running initiative designed to encourage residents to adopt a healthier and more active lifestyle.

The first edition will take place on Saturday at 6:30 am from the Marina Promenade at Rejuven8 Wellness Club in Dubai Marina.

The initiative is open to all UAE residents regardless of age, nationality, or fitness level. Multiple pace groups will be available, allowing beginners, intermediate runners, and experienced athletes to participate at a pace that suits their abilities.

The event will be held every Saturday at the same time, with plans to expand to additional locations across the UAE in the coming months.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, said the initiative reflects the federation’s commitment to promoting physical activity, improving public health, and strengthening community engagement through sport.

“Our goal is to bring people together through movement, encourage healthier daily habits, and contribute to the UAE’s growing sports culture,” he said.

The federation confirmed that participation is free of charge and does not require prior registration. Interested participants can simply attend the event and take part in the run.

The Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation is the official governing body responsible for the development, regulation, and promotion of bodybuilding and fitness in the UAE.

The federation continues to support athletes, coaches, fitness facilities, and community sports initiatives across the country.
