Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho, 46, comes out of retirement

Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho has reportedly ended his retirement at the age of 46, signing with Italian third-tier club Ravenna FC. The announcement on Wednesday comes 11 years after he last played professionally, though his exact role at the Serie C club remains unclear, with some scepticism about him taking to the pitch.

Ronaldinho expressed enthusiasm for his new venture, stating, ‘New colours, same smile,’ and hinting at a return to ‘dancing on the ball’ and bringing joy to Ravenna.

His last professional club was Fluminense in 2015, following a distinguished career that included stints at Barcelona, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain.

Ronaldinho’s major career achievements include winning the World Cup with Brazil in 2002, two La Liga titles and a Champions League with Barcelona, and a Serie A title with AC Milan.
