Chennai Super Kings (CSK), lost an important match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), on Monday, in a nail biting finish. Cricket fans desperately wanted CSK to win the match to stay in the competition, but SRH outperformed in the game. It was indeed an emotional moment for yellow army, because legendary player Mahendra Singh Dhoni was also present with his team for the first time in this season. Dhoni did not play a single match in this season due to his inury. Meanwhile, Indian television commentators hinted that this might be Dhoni’s last presence as a player.
Dhoni too looked visibly silent. I am sure as a fan we wanted him to play as much as possible for the CSK but he too, like us is a human being and he needs to hang up his boots one day. But the way Dhoni has carried out himself in the international cricket and in the IPL, shows his character. Very few Indian cricketers have earned this much respect and affection like him. Dhoni, coming from a small town, and went on to become a legend and I am sure cricket will definitely miss this man for a very long time.
