The world has to play its humanitarian role by helping Venezuela’s people and government during this difficult time (“Desperation mounts as quake death toll rises to 1,430 in Venezuela,” June 27, Gulf Today website).
Venezuela’s government and its people are trying their level best to cope with the disaster caused by the powerful earthquakes, in which the death toll has risen to 1,430, and thousands are still trapped in destroyed buildings.
In my opinion, the United States of America has a huge responsibility to help the Venezuelan people because it is a superpower and one of the world’s strongest economies.
This time shall pass. Earthquakes, tsunamis, unusual rains, and flooding are natural disasters, and science has still not reached the point where it can stop them before they strike.
I am sure the Venezuelan government will leave no stone unturned to rescue people from destroyed buildings, provide them with complete medical treatment, and compensate the families of those who lost their lives in this national natural disaster.
