Summer rains of varying intensity fell on separate areas across the country, mainly on parts of the eastern region, particularly on the Khorfakkan Road and Sheikh Khalifa Street leading to Fujairah.

The mountains were covered with rain clouds and temperature dropped relatively, while small streams and valleys flowed with water amidst exceptional weather conditions that coincided with the beginning of the summer season.

The rainy weather attracted a number of locals and visitors who flocked to the mountainous areas to enjoy the rain and natural scenery, while the circulated clips showed water flowing on the mountain slopes and the roads becoming wet as a result of the rainfall.

The scene reflected the local activity of cumulus clouds that formed during this period of the year over the eastern and mountainous areas of the country.

Monday’s weather is expected to be clear in general, while light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active at times offshore at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The sea will have regular to moderate waves but may become rough late at night in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular waves in the Sea of Oman.

Tuesday’s weather will be clear in general and dusty at times with a drop in temperature. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have moderate waves but will turn into rough in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular waves in the Sea of Oman.

Wednesday’s weather is expected to be clear in general and dusty at times but will be humid at night and on Thursday morning in some coastal areas. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring in the west at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will be rough but will have moderate to regular waves in the evening in the Arabian Gulf compared to regular waves in the Sea of Oman.

Thursday’s weather will be clear in general but will be humid at night and on Friday morning in some coastal and inland areas, especially the western ones. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow at 10 to 20 and up to 30 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
