Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) announced a temporary diversion of traffic between the University City area and the Institutes Land area as part of a road project to access the Etihad Rail Station with the aim of developing the infrastructure and enhancing traffic flow.
The traffic diversion will be in effect from Saturday, July 4, 2026 until Sunday, Aug.23, 2026, according to the approved alternative routes shown on the map.
SRTA urges road users to abide by the approved traffic diversions, use the alternative routes and follow the directional signs and traffic safety instructions to ensure their safety and a smooth traffic flow.
