Sharjah Ruler approves Dhs140m bridge project linking She…

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the construction of a bridge linking Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road and Mleiha Road at a cost of Dhs140 million.

This was announced by Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) to the Direct Line programme.

Al Othmani stated that the bridge would consist of three lanes connecting Mleiha Road to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Bridge at the intersection of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street and Mleiha Road.

He explained that the project would commence immediately and take one year to complete, adding that it would ensure smooth traffic flow in all directions and reduce travel time by nine minutes.
