
The Court of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, mourned Sheikh Mohammed Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, brother of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Abdul Rahman Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who passed away Friday.
The issued statement was: “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. “O reassured soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], and enter among My righteous servants, and enter My Paradise.”
With hearts believing in Allah’s decree and predestination, the Court of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah mourns the late Sheikh Mohammed Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, who passed away yesterday Friday, 29 Rabi’ Al Awwal 1448 Hijri, 11 September 2026 AD.
The Court of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased and to Al Qasimi family, praying to Allah Almighty to cover the deceased with His vast mercy, to dwell him in His spacious gardens, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace. The funeral prayer was held after Al Asr prayer on Friday at the King Faisal Mosque in Sharjah, and his body was then laid to rest in Al Jubail Cemetery. Condolences for men will be received at the home of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in Al Badi’ suburb in Sharjah, starting today Saturday for three days, during the morning period from 9:00am until Al Dhuhr prayer, and the evening period from after Al Asr prayer until the Maghrib prayer. Condolences for women will be received at the home of the deceased located in Al Tarfa area in Sharjah, and it is also decided to declare official mourning for 3 days starting from yesterday.
Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to His Highness the President, also offered his condolences on the passing of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Salem.
Dr Gargash wrote on his “X” account: “With hearts believing in Allah’s will and destiny, I extend my deepest condolences and sympathy on the passing of a dear childhood friend, the late Sheikh Mohammed Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi. We shared a precious friendship and kind memories at Al Ahmadiya School, as we were also neighbours in Deira, and those memories will remain present in the soul and a source of appreciation and pride.”
He continued: “We ask Allah Almighty to bestow His vast mercy upon the deceased, to grant him a place in His spacious gardens, to reward him with the best reward, and to inspire his family, loved ones, and the honorable Al Qasimi family with patience and solace.”
