Sharjah Civil Defence rescues kittens trapped inside house column

Teams from Sharjah Civil Defence Authority (SCDA) rescued kittens that were trapped inside a structural column in a house following a rapid response to an emergency report received by the operations room.

A video clip that went viral on social media platforms showed the values of compassion and kindness to animals that characterizd the UAE society.

The video showed details of the rescue operation from the moment the civil defence teams arrived at the site, as the firefighters began dealing with the situation with high professionalism and extreme caution, using specialized equipment and tools to reach the cats trapped inside a gap under the structure and bring them out safely and unharmed.

The rescue team’s efforts reflected another aspect of the civil defence team’s  humanitarian message as their efforts did not stop at the rescue level, but extended to providing immediate care for the cats after their release. 

The footage documented a member of the team sitting gently to look after the cats and feed them with a small spoon, in a scene that touched the hearts of the followers and reflected the highest meanings of compassion and responsibility.

The rescue operation received widespread interaction and praise from social media users, who commended the speed of response and the humanitarian dimension shown by the team members.
