
Ras Al Khaimah Police, within just 5 hours, arrested an Asian driver who fled after causing a traffic accident involving three women in the early hours of Tuesday morning, according to Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Abdul Rahman Al Saman, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at RAK Police.
Al Saman added that a report was received by the Operations Room at around 1:30am, after midnight, regarding three Asian women being involved in a traffic accident in Al Jazeera Al Hamra area, and the driver responsible fleeing the scene.
Al Saman indicated that the competent authorities immediately rushed to the scene, and a joint “task force” was formed to locate the driver responsible for the accident.
The team’s efforts allegedly identified and arrested the culprit approximately 5 hours after the accident occurred. He was then referred to the competent authorities to complete legal procedures against him.
The Traffic Investigation and Control Department, in cooperation with the Al Jazeera Al Hamra Comprehensive Police Station and the Criminal Investigations Department, participated in the operation to apprehend the fleeing driver.
