RAK Police rescue Emirati stranded on mountain

The Air Wing Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police managed to rescue an Emirati stranded in the mountainous area of Wadi Shah, at an altitude of 2,000 feet.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Abdullah Ali Al Shehhi, Head of Air Wing Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police, the operations room received a report indicating that an Emirati was stranded in the aforementioned area.

A helicopter from the department was immediately dispatched to the specified location and the Emirati man was rescued and transported to a government hospital to check his health condition, he added.

Reiterating the department’s constant readiness and preparedness to deal with all incoming reports in all weather conditions, Al Shehhi called on members of the society to be careful while heading to rugged mountainous areas, especially in light of the high temperature during summer.

He also urged them to take all necessary preventive measures and procedures that would prevent them from being exposed to any injuries or health symptoms.
