Over 5,500 people embrace Islam in Dubai in six months

Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Islamic Culture, affiliated with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD), recorded the conversion to Islam of 5,511 people of various nationalities during the first half of 2026, according to Jasem Mohammed Al Khazraji, the Centre’s Director, who affirmed that this reflects the success of the approach adopted by the Centre in building a cultural and cognitive environment that embraces various nationalities and cultures, and consolidates the values of mutual respect and human understanding.

Al Khazraji also explained that the Centre continues to perform its role in caring for new Muslims through an integrated system of educational, cultural, and social programmes, including teaching the Holy Quran, the Arabic language, and Sharia and educational courses, in addition to community meetings and continuous follow-up programmes, which contributes to enhancing their integration into society, consolidating their cognitive and social stability, and building a supportive environment which reflects the values of tolerance and coexistence pursued by the Emirate of Dubai, and is consistent with the vision of IACAD in enhancing the quality of life and building a more aware and cohesive society.
