Light rain hits parts of Abu Dhabi, expected to continue…

On Thursday llight to moderate rains fell on Abu Dhabi, its suburbs, and Al Ain, amidst cloudy weather and a relative drop in temperatures, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) that expects these rains to continue for 5 days, due to the country being affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system, accompanied by a weak upper-air low-pressure trough.

The NCM predicted that the weather on Friday, will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of some convective clouds and rains in scattered areas of the country, and a rise in temperatures in some areas.

Winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally active and stirring dust during the day, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25, amounting to 40 km/h and the sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman, the NCM reported.

Saturday’s weather will be, according to the NCM, partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of some convective clouds and rains in scattered areas of the country and winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate, occasionally active and stirring dust, with speeds ranging from 15 to 25, amounting to 40 km/h.

The sea will be light to moderate, occasionally rough in the Arabian Gulf, and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman, the NCM indicated.

Sunday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of some convective clouds and rains in scattered areas of the country and winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally active and stirring dust, which may lead to a decrease in horizontal visibility, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25, amounting to 40 km/h, according to the NCM . The sea will be moderate to rough with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman, the NCM stated.

Monday’s weather is expected to be generally cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of light rains in some eastern and southern areas and winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, gradually becoming active and stirring dust, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25, amounting to 40 km/h and the sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate, becoming rough in the evening in the Sea of Oman.
