BLS International (BLS), the authorised service provider for Spanish visa applications in the UAE, announced the launch of a new visa appointment booking system which mandates self-booking and prohibits the use of intermediaries or third parties, linking the appointment to the passport number and personal data to prevent the sale or subsequent modification of appointments, along with introducing enhanced security verification technologies to combat automated software.
BLS explained that the new system is implemented during the booking process to ensure that the applicant is the person booking his own appointment, emphasising that any appointments obtained through intermediaries or third parties will not be accepted at the application centres.
BLS also affirmed that booking appointments via its website is completely free, warning against unauthorised websites or individuals requesting money for booking appointments, and stressing that any payments made are at the time of visa application submission according to the official approved fees.
Applicants who receive a refusal decision on their applications submitted through its centres in Dubai are entitled to file an appeal with the Spanish Embassy after completing the requirements listed in the refusal letter, without the need to book a prior appointment, BLS added.
BLS also stressed that no-objection letters or salary certificates issued by the employer must include the signature of the authorised official, the full name of the signatory, his job title, and the Emirates ID number or a copy of it, as part of the application submission requirements.
