Abu Dhabi activates paid parking system in over 10,000 pa…

The paid parking system will be activated as of today, Monday, in new sectors in Mussafah area of Abu Dhabi city, under the regulatory supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, as a continuation of the expansion plan which started in January 2026.

The activation includes 10,110 parking spaces in new sectors in Mussafah, with a fee of DHs2 per hour for the sub-parking spaces covered by the application.

Fees can be reportedly paid through a number of digital channels, including the “Darb” and “Tam” applications, or via SMS messages and payment devices available in the area.

This measure comes within the framework of continuous efforts to regulate the use of public parking and enhance traffic flow in vital areas of the emirate.

The activation process, which is the second phase of the paid parking system in Mussafah area, includes sectors M7, M8, M9, M14, and M15.

Consequently, the total number of parking spaces to be activated within this phase is 10,010, in addition to parking spaces designated for people of determination.

The implementation of the paid parking system in its second phase aims to address these challenges by regulating parking use, reducing congestion, and improving vehicle movement flow, thereby facilitating access to various facilities and enhancing traffic safety.

This step also contributes to supporting economic activity by facilitating the movement of visitors and workers, stimulating commercial activity, and creating a more organised and efficient work environment.
