
Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) announced that during the period from Jan.5 to Aug.27, 2026, 1,583 citizens were employed, including 868 males and 715 females.
According to the data, university degree holders came first regarding the employed with a total of 915 employees, while the number of those employed with a high school diploma reached 614, along with 34 master’s degree holders, 16 diploma holders, and 4 doctorate holders.
Statistics also showed that Sharjah city accounted for the largest share of appointments with a total of 1,131 employees, including 658 males and 473 females.
Khor Fakkan ranked second with a total of 166 employees, 90 males and 76 females, followed by Kalba with 139 employees, 61 males and 78 females.
Appointments also included Al Dhaid with 49 employees, Dibba Al Hisn with 31, Mleiha with 23, Al Madam and Al Bataeh with 18 each, in addition to Al Hamriyah with 8 employees.
According to the type of government entity, the number of citizens employed in central entities amounted to 912 employees, 454 males and 458 females.
Meanwhile, the total number of those employed in decentralised entities amounted to 671 employees, 414 males and 257 females.
