The UK Foreign Office (FCDO) has not issued any new warnings against travel to Turkey, but does say that “regional escalation poses significant security risks and has led to travel disruption”.

New FCDO advice requires British nationals intending to cross the land border from Iran into Turkey to seek facilitation from the British Embassy in Ankara.

Concerns have been raised among holidaymakers with trips booked to the region amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Multiple people were injured in an Iranian drone attack on Kuwait International Airport’s T1 building on Wednesday.
