Distance learning to continue in Sharjah for two more wee…

The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has announced that distance learning will continue across all private schools in the emirate.

Additionally, in-person classes in nurseries will be suspended for a period of two weeks, beginning from the start of the third term of the 2025-2026 academic year.

In an official circular to educational institutions, the Authority emphasised that this decision aligns with its commitment to safeguarding the well-being of students, teachers, and administrative staff, while ensuring the smooth progression of the education process amid ongoing circumstances.

It also highlighted its continuous efforts to maintain a stable and secure learning environment in accordance with the regulatory standards in place within the emirate.

The decision encompassed the implementation of a remote work system for teachers and administrative personnel during that period. However, school administrations were provided the discretion to exempt specific roles that necessitate on-site presence to maintain uninterrupted operational and educational services.

School and nursery administrations were urged by the authority to directly engage with parents and students to relay all approved procedures and technical approaches for learning.

Emphasis was placed on strict adherence to the circular to uphold the highest standards of educational quality through adaptable learning frameworks and advanced technologies that prioritize the well-being of the educational community.
