Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has administratively and temporarily closed Yummy Indian Bite Restaurant-L.L.C) in Abu Dhabi, which holds commercial licence CN-2837801, for violating Law No (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the legislation issued thereunder, as well as for its risk to public health.
ADAFSA explained that the food inspection report stated that the administrative closure decision was issued due to repeated food safety violations and the failure to implement effective corrective measures, which necessitated taking immediate action to ensure food safety and consumer health.
The administrative closure will continue until the causes of the violation are removed, with the possibility of resuming activity after fully correcting the establishment’s status and complying with all food safety requirements, ADAFSA clarified.
It also indicated that the administrative closure and the detection of violations are part of the its plan to strengthen the food safety system in Abu Dhabi and subject all food establishments to periodic inspections to ensure compliance with requirements, with a focus on proactive protection for consumers and ensuring all establishments adhere to food safety requirements.
ADAFSA appealed to the public to communicate with it and report any violations observed in any food establishment or when in doubt about the contents of food items by calling the Abu Dhabi Government toll-free number 800555.
