Fujairah Martial Arts Club clinch overall aquatics excellence shield

Fujairah: In an exceptional sporting achievement that reflects the remarkable growth of sports in the Emirate of Fujairah, the UAE Aquatics Federation officially announced that Fujairah Martial Arts Club has won the overall aquatics excellence shield for the 2024–2025 sports season, after topping the overall standings with an outstanding total of 6,600 points.

The prestigious shield was presented during a special ceremony held at Fujairah Martial Arts Club headquarters, attended by senior representatives of the UAE Aquatics Federation, including Abdullah Mubarak Al Zahmi, Vice President of the Federation, and Abdullah Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Secretary General. The event was also attended by Nader Abu Al Shawish, Club Director, along with the team’s technical and administrative staff. The shield was received by Amal Al Kindi, Deputy Director of Fujairah Martial Arts Club.

The road to glory was far from easy for Fujairah’s swimmers. The team faced intense competition throughout the season before securing this well-deserved honor. Demonstrating complete dominance across national championships, the club achieved overall first place in five different age categories.

Fujairah’s swimmers demonstrated remarkable consistency and dominance throughout the season, securing overall championship titles across all major age categories. The team claimed first place and overall leadership in the 10 Years Category, 11–12 Years Category, 13–14 Years Category, 15–16 Years Category, as well as the Open Category, highlighting the club’s strength across every stage of athlete development and its ability to produce top-performing swimmers at all competitive levels.

Fujairah Martial Arts Club is currently enjoying one of the most successful seasons in its history, continuing to break records and strengthen its position as one of the UAE’s leading sporting institutions under the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and Honorary President of the Club.

This historic triumph marks the second time the club has won the Overall Aquatics Excellence Shield, reaffirming that its success is no coincidence, but rather the result of a long-term strategic vision that has proven effective in developing national talent and producing champions.

The ambitions of the Fujairah sporting powerhouse extend far beyond last season’s achievements. Current indicators point to sustained excellence, supported by a growing participation base, with the swimming team now comprising approximately 115 male and female athletes.

The team also succeeded in setting four new records during the season, further demonstrating that Fujairah’s momentum remains stronger than ever as it continues its pursuit of success on both national and international stages.
