Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, warned that shifting roles and neutral positions amid regional tensions are increasingly dangerous for Gulf stability.
Gargash said on X, “The confusion of roles during this brutal Iranian aggression is perplexing, and it extends to the countries surrounding the Arabian Gulf. The roles of victim and mediator have become blurred, and vice versa; friends have transformed into mediators instead of allies and supporters.
“At this most dangerous juncture in the modern history of the Gulf, amidst this treacherous aggression, remaining neutral is even more perilous than taking no stance at all.”
