The committee said in a statement that the proposal was officially rejected after other parliamentary blocs voted against it.The Alternative for Germany bloc had called on the government through the motion to immediately reverse the decision to phase out nuclear energy, halt the dismantling of German nuclear power plants, and make every possible effort to restart the last three nuclear units that were shut down in Germany. The proposal also called for examining the economic and technical conditions required to rebuild nuclear plants that have long been out of operation.
