The US State Department has announced its approval of a potential $11.9 billion sale of military equipment to Germany.In a statement, the Department noted that "this proposed sale will support US foreign policy and national security objectives by bolstering the security of a NATO ally," describing Germany as a "force for political stability and economic progress in Europe."The package includes eight AEGIS-based Integrated combat systems, advanced radar arrays, and guided missile launch systems, among other hardware.
