Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday pledged to work with her partners to restore freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that this is a vital interest for her country and the entire European Union.In a speech before the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Meloni said that if Iran succeeds in gaining the authority to impose additional fees on ships transiting the Strait, this could lead to economic repercussions and changes in trade flows.
