Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club has been crowned champion of the Federation Cup for Institutional and Community Teams, following a strong performance and impressive technical level that confirmed their superiority over the participating teams.

The tournament, organized by the UAE Chess Federation over two days, featured 100 teams from chess clubs, communities, and institutions representing 33 countries.

Al Ain Club deservedly clinched the title, finishing the tournament undefeated with eight victories and one draw. This remarkable achievement reflects the strength and high level of the team, allowing the club to retain the championship for the third consecutive year, following their victories in the 2024 and 2025 editions.

The tournament witnessed the participation of numerous players holding international titles, raising the technical level of competition and adding significant excitement to the rounds.

The tournament and the award ceremony were attended by Hisham Ali Al Taher, Secretary-General of the Asian Chess Federation, who crowned the winners.

 Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan, President of the Asian Chess Federation and President of Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club, congratulated the club’s players on this achievement, expressing his delight at the advanced levels demonstrated during the competition.

Abdullah Rashid Al Rashdi, Vice Chairman of Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club, praised the generous support provided by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, noting that this support contributes to achieving accomplishments and developing the sport.

He also commended the efforts of the UAE Chess Federation in organizing the tournament and advancing chess in the country.
