I have been living in Abu Dhabi for almost 10 years. But before coming to Abu Dhabi, I had worked and lived in Sharjah for many years. I had left Sharjah a decades ago, but I had the opportunity to visit Sharjah recently after many years and I felt nostalgic about it.
It was an emotional moment for me. I started my professional career from Sharjah before moving to Abu Dhabi. I visited each and every area of Sharjah where I would spend my time. A lot has changed since I left Sharjah. Roads have become wider.
Many new shopping malls have come up. Many new residential areas have been developed. I have always loved my time in Sharjah. It was the best time for me. I would spend days and days in old Sharjah area for shopping. I met many of my friends also during my visit to Sharjah. It was like a homecoming for me. Despite the fact that I am away from Sharjah for almost a decade, but my affection for this emirates has never subsided. Sharjah is like my second home.
