Golden days

How times have changed. I remember I would go every week to watch Bollywood films until the Covid-19 pandemic opened the doors to OTT platforms. I would enjoy a weekly dose of films since my college days in Delhi. I remember I started watching films at the cinema since 1995 and those who are familiar with Delhi know that getting a ticket for a film was very much affordable then. I remember I would go to watch films with only 15 rupees in my pocket.

Delhi in those days had many theatres all across the city where prices were not high at all. Watching a film became a little costly only after the year 2000 when cinemas started concentrating on luxurious seats, Dolby sound and air-conditioned facilities. Now even in India people complain about high costs of cinema tickets. Even many filmmakers have voiced their concern about the rising cost of visiting theatres. But I miss those days very much. They were golden days for me.
