Awesome story

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story “Kids are more technology savvy than baby boomers,” recently published in Gulf Today. The humorous account of a grandfather struggling with multiple TV remotes, only to have his six-year-old granddaughter fix the issue within seconds, perfectly captures the generational shift we are witnessing today.

The world has indeed changed dramatically. In this era of rapid technological advancement and artificial intelligence, children are growing up surrounded by smart devices, digital platforms, and instant access to information. What seems complicated and overwhelming to older generations appears natural and intuitive to young minds. Their confidence and adaptability in handling technology is both fascinating and inspiring.

However, while celebrating their digital skills, we must also guide them toward responsible and balanced use of technology. Bridging the gap between generations through patience, humour, and mutual learning can strengthen family bonds. After all, today’s grandchildren are not just teaching gadgets — they are teaching us how quickly the world is evolving.
