The Sharjah Government Media Office announced late on Monday that Civil Defence units, in collaboration with specialised teams from the Sharjah Police, have begun cooling operations for an accidental fire that broke out early on Monday, in the Industrial Area (10), with no human injuries recorded.
The competent authorities explained that initial investigations indicate the fire resulted from sparks flying during welding work on metal tools at the site, which led to the fire igniting in flammable materials.
Efforts are ongoing to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading, following established safety protocols.
They confirmed that the teams were able to fully control the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring facilities, while cooling operations continue in accordance with established procedures.
The competent authorities called on the public to obtain information from their official sources and follow updates through approved channels, affirming their readiness to handle various reports around the clock and take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of individuals and facilities.
The Sharjah Police have advised the public to rely solely on official sources for information and to track updates through authorised channels. Further developments will be shared as soon as they are available.
