Dr Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the UAE, expressed his condolences on the passing of Palestinian scholar and historian Walid Khalidi.
In a message shared on the X platform, Gargash stated, “May God rest the soul of Dr. Walid Khalidi, a distinguished scholar and historian. I knew him as an exceptional intellect with vast knowledge and insight. His dedication to preserving the Palestinian narrative and meticulously documenting its history through scholarly research was unwavering.”
He further remarked that with Khalidi’s passing, the intellectual world has lost a significant cultural figure. However, his influence will endure through his academic contributions, writings, and published works.
