Dispute inside a clothing store leads a man to court in Sharjah

The Sharjah Misdemeanor Court looked into the case of an Arab man accused of verbally abusing and threatening an Asian woman while she was on duty in a clothing store, an incident that reportedly unfolded in the presence of other staff members.

During the proceedings, the court presented the defendant with charges of verbal abuse and making threats.

He denied these accusations, explaining that his visit to the store was to purchase clothing.

According to his account, the situation escalated when he observed what he deemed inappropriate behaviour by the employee, directed toward both him and other customers.

He claimed that he voiced his intention to report her conduct to her supervisor, which allegedly provoked her anger and led to the allegations of verbal abuse and threats.

The defendant further argued that the employee had coordinated with her subordinates to testify against him.

He maintained that her complaint stemmed from his critique of her actions and his expressed plan to officially report her behaviour toward customers.

After reviewing the statements provided by both parties, the court postponed the matter to a future session to announce its judgment.
