Ciara Miller uncovered a video of Amanda Batula and West Wilson before their shocking hookup announcement … TMZ has learned.
Sources close to the situation tell TMZ … the “Summer House” star obtained a video allegedly showing Amanda and West being intimate in his apartment — something that left her upset. We’re told neither Amanda nor West knew they were being recorded.
One source tells us Amanda sent Ciara a text Monday afternoon, saying she never meant to hurt her.
We’re told Amanda also said she wanted to sort out her feelings about West before discussing the romance with her friend.
As TMZ previously reported … Amanda and West confirmed their romance on Tuesday via statements released on Instagram.
The two said, “We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we need a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected,” they continued. “Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
