Grammy-winning producer Sidney “Omen” Brown — who worked with artists like Drake, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne and more — passed away last year … and now his cause of death has been released.
According to the medical examiner, Brown passed away from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The manner of death was determined as natural.
The disease — otherwise known as ASCVD — is caused by plaque buildup in your arteries.
As we reported … Brown’s body was found by a relative inside his Harlem, New York, apartment on September 13, 2025 after concerned staff at his work contacted his family when he did not show up for his shift.
Brown won a Grammy for Best Rap Album in 2007 for his work on Ludacris‘ album, “Release Therapy.” In the last years of his life, Sidney worked at Ethyl’s Bar & Restaurant, who remembered him as “a DJ who could get our Dance floor jumping.”
He was 49.
