The Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Centre for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (ADCMC), in cooperation with strategic partners, as part of the second phase of the “Our Community is Prepared” campaign, emphasised the importance of following official guidelines and instructions when receiving an emergency alert message at the workplace, thereby enhancing protection and safety for all.

ADCMC explained via its official social media accounts that upon receiving an emergency alert message at the workplace, one must instantly stop working, maintain calm and avoid panic, move away from windows and glass, and head to the building’s basement if one exists.

The ADCMC stressed using stairs only and not using elevators, and as a final step, an employee must wait for a message indicating that the situation is safe before returning to work, affirming the importance of adhering to official guidelines and instructions to enhance protection and safety for all.
