The General Command of Sharjah Police has launched a qualitative initiative dedicated to senior citizens and people with disabilities, aimed at simplifying procedures and offering flexible services tailored to their needs.

Under the initiative, beneficiaries can receive replacement number plates for lost vehicle plates during the current weather conditions, with delivery directly to their homes without the need to visit service centres. The initiative will run for three days starting Sunday, March 29.

Sharjah Police explained that requests for replacement plates can be submitted through the 901 call centre. The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department will complete all procedures, including printing the plates and delivering them to beneficiaries’ homes free of charge.

The police added that this initiative is part of its efforts to develop proactive services that ease procedures and save time and effort, especially amid the exceptional weather conditions, in line with current needs and to enhance community stability.

Sharjah Police called on senior citizens and people with disabilities to benefit from the service, affirming its continued commitment to launching quality initiatives that improve service efficiency, strengthen the integration of the security and service system, and enhance quality of life while meeting community expectations.
