Sharjah Misdemeanours Court sentenced a man to two months in jail, followed by deportation, after being convicted of breaking into a house and attempting to rob it, following proof of the incident and the suspect’s confession to the charges before the court.
The details date back to a time when a man reported that he left his home with his family without locking the door, and when he returned a short time later to use the restroom, he found a person inside, who had attempted to steal some belongings, so he caught him and when he searched him, he did not find any stolen items in his possession.
Investigations revealed after reviewing surveillance camera recordings, that the suspect entered the apartment taking advantage of the door being unlocked, and initially proceeded to take a mobile phone, but returned it to its place when he noticed the homeowner was there, according to the video recordings attached as evidence in the case.
During the trial sessions, the court confronted the suspect with the charges against him, and he confessed to committing them.
