Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court sentenced a man to death after being convicted of premeditated murder of a woman and her two daughters in a residential area in the emirate.

The verdict was issued in the presence of the accused, who was charged of premeditated murder, attempted murder and death threats.

However, this verdict is not considered final, according to the laws in force in the country until all stages of litigation before higher courts have been exhausted.

In the same case, the court sentenced the defendant’s son to prison and fined him Dhs10,000 on charges related to threats and defamation. It also ordered the seized evidence including a vehicle to be confiscated.

The incident dated back to May 7, 2025 when a traffic dispute in Ras Al Khaimah resulted in the death of a mother, 66, and her two daughters, 36 and 38, while a third daughter, 47, was injured in the attack but survived.

The victims’ family welcomed the court’s decision, stating that the verdict delivered justice for the victims.
