Climate change

Climate change is gripping the world with its calamities, slowly and gradually. It’s a completely different world from the one it was a decade ago (“Wildfires rage in southern France, nearly 3,000 people evacuated,” July 2, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, nearly 3,000 people have been evacuated in southern France and water-bombing planes deployed to battle wildfires after a record-breaking heatwave last month. Tourists and local residents had to be moved after a wildfire broke out in the town of Sainte-Marie-la-Mer and spread to Canet-en-Roussillon on Thursday.

There’s no doubt that the weather seasons — spring, summer, autumn, and winter — are immensely beneficial to the world. But it’s so unfortunate, and it has become the reality of today’s world, that climate change has disrupted the natural cycle.

The world is terrified of the impact of climate change throughout the year. It’s the start of summer, and news of wildfires is making headlines all over the world in print and on social media platforms.

Heatwaves, tsunamis, floods, wildfires, and unexpectedly heavy rains destroying forests and cities, while killing a large number of people in many parts of the world, have now become the new normal.

It’s the need of the hour to unite and fight against climate change to save the world from its devastating consequences.
