Beit Al Khair Society covered the full cost of a cancer patient’s treatment, amounting to Dhs183,450, including Dhs154,350 for chemotherapy sessions and Dhs29,100 for a subsequent cardiac catheterisation procedure, ensuring the continuity of the treatment plan without interruption or delay. The patient, a UAE resident, is fighting a tough battle with lung cancer which has spread to the lymph nodes, turning his and his family’s life into a daily race between hope and fear.
The patient underwent a delicate surgical procedure which included the removal of the primary tumor and the affected lymph nodes, in an attempt to control the spread of the disease and limit its complications.
After the surgery, the medical team recommended completing the treatment with four chemotherapy sessions and close medical follow-up, along with a subsequent cardiac catheterisation after the completion of chemotherapy, to ensure stable health and monitor potential complications.
This support was not merely a financial commitment, but a profound humanitarian message reflecting a core vision that human life is a priority not measured by numbers, and that every patient has the right to a treatment opportunity which preserves their dignity and gives them new hope for recovery.
Thanks to this humanitarian intervention, the patient was able to continue his treatment journey, without financial obstacles hindering his right to life.
This response comes within an integrated system of initiatives implemented by “Beit Al Khair,” translating the concept of social solidarity into a tangible reality through its humanitarian programmes and weekly “Fazaa” campaigns, remaining a model of giving that reaches where people need it and provides hope when pain intensifies.
